Hans Uszkoreit grew up in East Berlin and after getting into conflict with the DDR regularities and a short stay in prison he had to flee to West Berlin as he wanted to attend university.
His initial goal was to become a journalist but after he found interest in the topic of linguistic he went on to have an astonishing career within the space of artificial intelligence making him one of Germany’s most interesting individuals within the space.

After spending time at Volkswagen Financial Services as the Head of Automotive Innovation working on Connectivity, E-Mobility and Mobile Services he joined the German railway company Deutsche Bahn AG as the Director for Mobility and Automotive building up a high-potential portfolio of investments at Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures (e.g. What3Words, Teralytics, Connected Signals, Ridecell, Coord, Renovo, GoKid, Trillium, Kepler Communications).
