Fei since last year is responsible for developing the AI strategy and capabilities of global software powerhouse SAP.
Despite being born in China, Fei actually started her career in Germany within academia. After completing her phd in computational linguistics she spend many years at the german research center for artificial intelligence (DFKI), where she also was entrepreneurially involved in a spin off.
Before joining SAP in May 2020, Fei spent 3 years at Lenovo in China building out the AI Lab at Lenovo Research. On this podcast we talk about her experience within academia, her time in China and the differences she experiences in both cultures when it comes to technology adoption. Beyond that we also talk about her current role at SAP and how she plans to establish AI as a core competence within the organization, introducing into the existing product portfolio and beyond.
